Platform Engineer

About the Role
You will be the technical leader responsible for designing, maintaining, and evolving the integration platform at L'Oréal México. Your mission is to ensure that all company systems, from SAP to SaaS applications and cloud platforms, are connected securely, efficiently, and scalably. You will coordinate with local and global teams, lead cloud migrations, and serve as the go-to integration technical reference for the entire organization.
📋 Main Responsibilities
Design and lead the integration architecture across all company systems
Manage the full platform lifecycle: planning, deployment, updates, and operations
Lead the migration of legacy systems to Azure
Define standards, best practices, and integration governance policies
Serve as the primary technical point of contact for the integration domain
Coordinate with L'Oréal's global team to ensure alignment with worldwide standards
Mentor and train developers and operational teams
Lead technical deliveries with a strong focus on CI/CD, GIT, and Azure DevOps

✅ Must Have
Experience with ESB and API Gateways: TIBCO, Apigee, or Kafka
Azure proficiency: AKS, Event Hub, Service Bus, Blob Storage, Azure Files
SAP / S4HANA integrations
Knowledge of integration protocols: REST, SOAP, MFT, Pub/Sub, Webhooks, EDA
Experience with CI/CD, GIT, and Azure DevOps
Authentication and security standards: OAuth2, JWT, SAML
Experience leading technical teams or acting as a technical reference
Background in systems integration or architecture
Advanced English (coordination with global teams)

⭐ Nice to Have
Experience with iPaaS, especially Workato
Knowledge of ETL and data transformation
Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project methodologies
Background in FMCG, retail, or manufacturing companies
Experience with reverse engineering and documentation of existing architectures
Familiarity with Hybrid Integration Platform (HIP)
